We are now offering packaged activity breaks exclusively for large families and groups staying at the farm. Guests have use of all the self-catering accommodation and grounds. Packages include on site activities such as archery, falconry or cooking classes with our chef. These packages offer huge savings for guests wanting to enjoy on site activities. The best deals are for those groups staying mid week.

Sport of Kings

All of the luxury accommodation at the farm to yourself and inclusive of a session with our birds of prey or archery tuition. Get to know our owls, experience the sensation of birds flying to your glove and witness the display of a bird flying in the valley. Or learn the skills of the ancient sport of archery including games for all. The accommodation sleeps up to 19 people all of whom can enjoy an activity session with our expert tutor. Activities are held in a dedicated barn and field in a wonderful setting with uninterrupted views.

Ladies That Lunch

Inclusive of a cooking workshop with our chef, held in the large Barn and involving a cooking demonstration by our chef followed by a chance to taste both food and wine. The focus and menu can follow many themes and tastes. Our chef will be happy to offer a selection of options or work with your particular menu preferences. Workshops are usually held on Tuesday or Thursday from 10am and packaged with a mid week short break. Although demand is high for these events, group sizes are limited to a maximum of 14-19 people.

* A supplement of £100 per week per building applies for Christmas and New Year, when only all five buildings can be booked together.

Prices shown are 2012 rates.

The holiday accommodation is self-catering, sleeping a maximum of 10 guests (all three farm buildings) or 14 guests (all five buildings), with 2 to a room. Up to 5 additional guests can be accommodated with use of all three sofa beds.

Full bed linen and towels are provided in 3 bedrooms in the Barn & Cow Shed, 1 bedroom in Stable Cottage and 1 bedroom in the Grain Store. Additional linen and towels is available for the sofa beds. Please advise the number of guests staying at the time of booking otherwise we cannot guarantee that linen will be available.

Rates are inclusive of winter fuel and utility costs, including heating, hot water and electricity.

All properties have electric oven and hob, fridge with freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer (except the Barn), colour digital TV, VHS/DVD/CD, garden furniture, barbeque, oil central heating and private parking.

Wireless broadband is available at the farm.

Well behaved pets are welcome at £20 per pet per week, plus an additional £50 returnable security deposit.

A returnable security deposit of £250 (all 3 farm buildings) or £350 (all 5 buildings) is due at the time of booking.

Other services available at Fair Oak Farm include chef hire or catering services, cycle hire, Wine List, DVD library and board games.

Cots (£10 per week), high chairs (£10 per week) and stair gates are available on request. We are not permitted to provide linen for cots. A baby sitting service is often available - please enquire at the time of booking.

Payments are in advance at the time of booking.

Since 2006, when Ian & Penny purchased the farm and started the business, demand for short breaks has been very high and steadily increasing, averaging 3-6 month waiting lists. We therefore advise larger groups to secure their bookings as far in advance as possible.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing arrival time is 4pm and departure is 10am.
