EFD is run by two
professional engineers, Geoffrey Organ and Jim
Franklin. Both are ex-apprentices from the Royal Small
Arms Factory, Enfield, England and still very much involved in
the Ex-Apprentices Association.
Since the
business started in 2002, Geoffrey and Jim have become highly
regarding in their field of expertise. You will often see
them at Bisley or other local shooting range.
Members of the
Lee Enfield Rifle Association (LERA),
Historical Breechloading Smallarms
Association (HBSA) and the Gun Trade Association.

The
Royal Small Arms Factory (RSAF) was
the home of the Lee-Enfield rifle, where John Paris Lee's
designs were finalised. As well as production of the
rifle, design and development was carried out at Enfield, or
elsewhere under it's direction. The factory was closed in
1987 and the site is now a housing estate. Much of the
original structure was saved and many of the names given to
roads on the site reflect its former use.
