Eco-Lodge Tree Houses Coming Soon ...

Planning Permission has been granted for the addition of two eco-lodge tree houses on the estate, bringing with it many environmental benefits, including the use of sustainable materials and the implementation of our wildlife habitat protection plan.  We have already introduced rare owl enticement nests and other bird boxes.  The project will help protect and enhance our beautiful countryside.

The project includes the introduction of an air source heat pump and the of use solar power to heat well water, thus reducing oil and electrical consumption at the farm.  It will enable the re-introduction of farming to our agricultural land whilst benefitting the local economy, in particular by providing more jobs and much needed support to Mayfield village shops.  Working together our rural community can help our local economy; not just to survive, but to thrive.

Each eco-lodge tree house will provide luxury self-catering accommodation for grown-ups that want to fulfil their innermost childish dreams.  Clad with sustainable timber and fully insulated, they will contain a double bedroom, en-suite wet room, seating and dining areas, fully equipped kitchenette and sheltered balcony.  Set in mature trees the eco-lodge tree-houses will provide complete privacy with uninterrupted valley views of stunning Sussex countryside.

Each lodge will sleep two people, offering them all the usual mod cons that our guests have come to expect in our 4-star quality graded holiday accommodation.  Facilities will include heating, hot water, LCD TV, fresh white linen and towels, wireless broadband and DVD library.

Used in conjunction with the Barn & Cow Shed, Grain Store and Stable Cottage our holiday accommodation at the farm will be able to sleep up to 19 people.  Currently expected to be available for late Spring 2011.
