For a day out, how about a tour of one the local vinyards or a visit to Drusillas Park Zoo, the Bluebell Railway steam trains, Battle Abbey or nearby Ashdown Forest.
Walking & Cycling
Enjoy countryside and woodland walks in every direction around the farm. Have cycles dropped of at the farm or visit nearby Bedgebury Forest with cycle tracks for all levels.
National Trust Properties & Gardens
Some of the UK's finest castles, beautiful gardens and national trust properties are close by. Visit Hever and Scotney castles, Battle Abbey, Batemans or the enchanted gardens at Groombridge Place.
Rock climbing at Harrisons Rocks in Eridge, canoeing and boating at Bewl water, a day on a local golf course or a spot of fishing at a local fishery, including Roger Daltrey's trout fishery just up the lane from the farm, are just some of the local activities to enjoy.
The medieval village of Mayfield, voted most desirable village in the UK, has everything you need and the spa town of Tunbridge Wells with its historic Pantiles or the coastal towns of Hastings and Brighton are close by.
Local Churches & Pubs
Plenty of tiny Saxon flint stone churches and country pubs can be found in local hilltop villages. Mayfield village has two country pubs... including the Middle House serving excellent food... ideal for larger groups.
What a find! Perfect accommodation for our family group of 30. You’ll struggle find such a spectacular rural retreat for a group holiday in the UK, let alone so close London. Lovely, spacious accommodation in a superb countryside setting. Discovered a real gem and will definitely be back!
